Great app

... just what I needed to get me into messing with video again. Thanks!

Great, but...

What is the Difference between Classic and pro? ;)

Perfect on my iphone 4s

Nice app

High hopes -- dashed

After growing sick and tired of Apples unpredictable frame rates, nonexistent control, and audio sync issues, I needed something reliable. So I bought Filmic Classic for my iPhone 4. It was a complete waste of money. I dont ever recall cursing an app as much as this one. I had issues right away with it skipping. I figured "kill all the processes in the background". Did that. Still had issues. It got so bad that I had to restart the app every time I wanted it to actually record something. I have had this app for a few weeks now. I have tested it many times. But today, while on vacation, I gave it one last chance to prove itself. I was reluctant to use Filmic, and rightfully so. I should have stuck with Apples camera. I shot this rather important video of my father-in-laws childhood home overseas, and it just skipped constantly. Uploaded it to my laptop, same problem, so clearly this problem originated at the time of capture. I was worried about audio sync issues... They are NOTHING compared to the pathetic mess captured by Filmic Classic. Not to mention even the focus control seemed inferior to apples autofocus. Dont waste your time or money. Take it from me, since I now have to reshoot my father-in-laws neighbourhood, and hopefully I will manage to avoid being stabbed in the back by suspicious locals... Thanks for nothing, Filmic Classic.

Worst video app

Seriously this thing kept freezing and I lost so much video that I was just better off using the built in Apple video tools! Horrible app! Be careful if you are relying on this!

First review ever

Buy it now its awesome

Awesome app!

Get it while you can. From a film makers point of view, this gives you tools that pro cameras have. I highly recommend this app if you want to take good video.

Get it

This is the best app (thats free) for iPhone filmmaking, hands down.

Only for this week. Looking forward to filmic upgrades.

Love filmic! Filmic classic brings back a lot of goodness but filmic pro will turn out great.

Best of the Best

Get this app while its free! It has the features of Pro because future releases of the paid version will not support 4:3 and this will. Overall this is probably one of the best most advance recording apps to date. I love recording in 24 FPS then editing in After Effects to get that movie film look. I also recommend Movie Looks app to apply filters directly from your phone. Enjoy!

The Best for Free!

Why bother buying the pro version when this one makes filmmaking with an iPad so much easier and advanced. I rate it 10 out of 5

WORTH IT!!! AMAZING!!!

This app is just the best! I dont see the difference between this and the paid version. I love it!! Because the camera on this phone is just as good as my little Kodak but with this it makes it easier to record because its always with me. And its even better because I can set fps and exposure and focus. And I can also add widescreen bars.. But I can not put filters in which I can on my Kodak but just buy an app for 99sence GET IT BEFOR IT GOES!!!

Awesome

Same as the current version 2.9.7. Get this now while its free!

Basically works, has an odd quirk ...

I am using this on an iPad3, 32GB, with IOS6.01. Shoots as least as well as the native video taking system, but does offer more control over exposure and focus, frame rates and bit rates. The odd quirk is in using the "single dual function" reticle. When you just open the app, the focus and exposure can be set and locked as expected, but if you try to change either point and reset them, the focus will hunt, and the exposure goes over quite badly. To work around this problem, you either close and reopen the app, or open the setting controls, and just simply return to the shooting mode without making a single change. Otherwise the choices of dual or "no" reticle do not show this behavior. As I shoot with all of my other real cameras in "center spot" mode, I prefer to lock my focus and then lock the exposure after moving the spot to the area I wish to expose for, having the "single yet dual function" reticle with this odd hang up, really does greatly slow down getting things set up for shooting, as well as messing the video quality up if you dont get things the way you want in the initial effort. Hope you all understand what I am saying.

Awesome!!!

$ .99 is well worth it. Bought it instead of pro after reading reviews that they dont see the difference. Anyway Im sure the pro is great as well. Great work in making this. Thanks

Love this app,

I absolutely love this app, it is perfect for my depth of field shots. I highly recommend this app to anybody and everybody!!!

Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crashes all the time. Fails to upload to camera roll. The features are not even worth it. Use your iphone camera app instead and just hold screen to auto focus lock way better and imovie to edit. They dont even respond to your email. Deleting this app i wasted money on. Contacting apple for refund.

Good but...

Its a great app but I wish you could zoom in

Unreliable

This app keeps on crashing and does not export to camera roll, I just decided to use my camera app all the time coz it made me loose many video moments. I hate it. Im on iOS 6.1.3 iphone 4S

DO NOT BUY

THE FOCUS On THIS APP DOES NOT WORK FOR iPOD 4th GENERATION
